Promoting environmental literacy through education.
Educator Stipend Application
MAEOE is now accepting nominations for our Educator Stipend Program. Stipends will assist Michigan formal and non-formal educators in attending MAEOE’s professional development conference in October. Successful applicants will receive a reduced conference registration plus a one-year MAEOE membership.
The MAEOE conference supports professional development for classroom teachers, non-formal environmental and outdoor educators, university faculty, and natural resource professionals alike. Workshops, sessions and field trips provide opportunities to learn new skills and content as well as experience with proven strategies to reach and teach audiences of all levels. Besides the programming highlights, the informal networking opportunities have been a consistent draw to conference attendees. Many participants return year after year because of the value of their conference experience.
To apply for a stipend, interested educators must complete the attached application form. Applicants must also be supported by a supervisor or administrator. Additional information is below. We hope to hear from you soon!
