From isolated Beaver Island in Lake Michigan in 2022, the MAEOE Conference Team is taking you to the Sunrise side of our great state in 2023.
Lake Huron was our Great Lake and Alpena our host city. The Northeast side of the lower peninsula is called Michigan's undiscovered sanctuary for a good reason. We were pleasantly surprised by the amazing natural resources and unique field trips this conference and locale offered.
This conference was back to the standard schedule of pre-conference field trips on Thursday and sessions starting Friday morning running through Sunday noon format.

Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary
Don’t miss the opportunity to meet, greet and eat with friends old and new at one the most amazing museums in Michigan. NOAA’s is a spectacular nautical history of the area and this “Night at the Museum” format will allow you to eat a great catered a meal, have a bevy of beverages and wander through exhibits.
