Join facilitators Jennifer DuBey and Beth Christiansen for a hands-on, engaging, professional development workshop for teachers and non-formal educators. Project WILD and Project Learning Tree (PLT) provide a standards-aligned resource to support your school or district curriculum. With integrated nature-based lessons, you have access to activities that help students build a bridge between the classroom and the outdoors. At the conclusion of training, you will leave with resources from WILD and Project Learning Tree (PLT) to help you create interdisciplinary lesson plans to excite audiences of all ages. Six SCECH’s will be available for this workshop.
During the Professional Development workshop we will focus on how to use the guides, experience hands-on activities from a student perspective, and correlate activities to Michigan Science Standards (NGSS).
Workshop fees cover Project WILD and Project Learning Tree (PLT) guides and other resources to help you get started in your classroom!
This workshop can also help you work towards Strand 2 completion for the Michigan Environmental Educator Certification.
