MAEOE Meetups

Kayaking/Canoeing The Grand River in Lansing, Michigan at Woldumar Nature Center

Friday, July 27 at 7:30am

Space is limited to the first 16 registrants.

Join us for a morning of kayaking and canoeing on the Grand River! Kevin Wernet, Director of Woldumar Nature Center, will lead this Meetup.  He will provide all the equipment needed (life jackets, boats, field guides, binoculars) to look for wildlife in the middle of Michigan.  You are welcome to bring your own equipment, but you don’t need it.

Following the adventure, join MAEOE Board Member, Bill Hodges and go to Horrocks, a local farm market 10 minutes away, for some after-paddling refreshments.  Horrocks is an adult Disneyland, with lots of produce and specialty foods.  More importantly, it has a Gelato bar, a soup bar, a pizza bar, and fresh-made sushi to go along with a beer bar (40 taps) and a wine bar.  You can buy something to eat and drink and sit on their patio, enjoying locally made food and beverage while reliving the adventure and chatting with members.
