Annual Reports

MAEOEGRAM

MAEOE publishes an electronic newsletter titled the MAEOEgram three times per year (winter, spring, and fall).  MAEOE members receive the newsletter via email, (members may request to receive newsletters via U.S. mail).  The newsletter is a fantastic way to learn about events, resources, and activities around the state!

Members can see past issues of the MAEOEgram by accessing the Member page.   Email admin@maeoe.com for login information.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Members and member organizations are invited to submit articles for inclusion in the MAEOEgram.  Please keep in mind that articles may not be accepted for publication and may be subject to minor editing.  To submit articles, please send MSWord files electronically to maeoegram@maeoe.com.  Must include "MAEOEgram submission" in the subject line. 

Please limit your articles to 700 words and include no more than 3 pictures (not embedded in the article) with captions to accent your article.

Occasionally we publish issues thematically, for more information on the upcoming theme contact our editor at maeoegram@maeoe.com.

Due dates for submissions are March 30th, July 30th, and December 30th to be published on the 30th of the following month.

BECOMING A GREENER TEACHER

Green Teacher is a dedicated to helping educators, both inside and outside of schools, enhance environmental literacy among young learners. Their quarterly Green Teacher magazine offers perspectives on the role of education in creating a sustainable future, practical articles and ready-to-use activities for various age levels, and reviews of dozens of new educational resources.  The organization also publishes other resources, airs frequent inspiring podcast episodes and webinars, plus provides unique services for environmental and outdoor educators.

 

As a gift to our members in 2023, we are providing a subscription to Green Teacher Magazine that comes out digitally at the beginning of each season.  You will also have access to all archived issues, podcasts, and webinars. Additionally, you will receive a deep discount on any Green Teacher books or consulting in environmental or outdoor education. ​

 

Please share your innovations and special initiatives in EE or OE. You might end up as a feature in the acclaimed, international Green Teacher magazine or podcast.  Please contact Cindy Fitzwilliams-Heck, your current Michigan Regional Green Teacher Representative (fitzwilc@ferris.edu).
